Leave Me in Stitches - My Secret Blog

Hola.
My name is Arish.  Actually, my real name is Sira – that’s Arish spelled backwards.  I was born in Spain, but my destiny led to me to  Morroco.  That’s my story. I grew up as Sira in peace time and ended up Arish when World War II broke out.
Sira is my softer, youthful self.  Arish is my harder edge.  I need them both.  In my blog, I hope to share a diversity of experience and emotion.  I can’t write one without the other.

Maybe you've seen me on TV.   You can find El Tiempo Entre Costuras on Netflix.

My Vote for "Motorcycle" MVP

In English 008, Mr. Lewenstein asked us to share our MVP for our reading of Motorcycle on the Sea of Tranquility.   He calls it the Most Important Part.  It was up to us to define "important."
It was a tough call.  I liked so many things in this book.  For me, the struggles Yoli went through to assert herself made the book most interesting.  When she came up with "The Look" everything changed.

"Sparks Fly" in Motorcycle on the Sea of Tranquility

I wrote this after reading Patricia Santana's Motorcycle on the Sea of Tranquility.  Mr. Lewenstein asked us to match a song from our musical background with a scene we read in the novel.  We created a page on wikispaces. Mr. Lewenstein calls it "The Soundtrack of Our Reading."
